Silverlight version 4 and after does not have any problem in showing rtl languages, however, although you may have the latest version of Silverlight installed in your server, you still have the problem. How to work with image rendition in SharePoint 2013

How to work with image rendition in SharePoint 2013

Image rendition is a new concept in SharePoint 2013. Using this concept you could define different size of a specific image.
in last versions of SharePoint you could resize an image in the page. However, the image file size remained the same. When you use image rendition, the image is cropped and resized and would be usable in different places. So the overall size of the page weight is reduced.
Image rendition is also useful in Device Channels, where you want your image proper for a mobile site.
in order to take advantage of image rendition, publishing features should be enabled , also BLOB caching should be enabled.
